Today was really funn, it sure beats being at school haha
today i registered incoming mail, photocopied, searched for jobseekers on fast track and printed their details for hiring out purposes, typed procedure for work experience participants, created and typed three employement program flyers (inserted clipart) and typed procedure for administration duties.
My supervisor thinks i am doing an exceptional job.
my supervisors name is stacey and she is great at showing me how to do things and teaching me what is required of you to be an office administrator and she is really nice.

yesterday i scanned 24/7 clients documents onto computer, made files and filled 24/7 clients documents, photocopied and mailed superannuation cheques, registered outgoing mail, diverted/undiverted phones and prepared documents for IEP meeting.
it was good for me to see what its like in a meeting.
Today i photocopied, prepared documents for CEO’s meeting, made changes to electronic documents, typed up a resume for a client and emailed messages to staff.
i am enjoying my work experience.

hey liz. i am working at my dads work doing office admin.. and yeah its pretty fun

today they had enough confidence in me to let me be at the front desk alone doing the reception duties and being the office administrator it was a little daunting at first but a great learning experience as i had three clients with me Mr emilio came in and i think he was suprised to see me at the front desk handling all of the duties by myself haha.
i have actually gained more confidence and skills. i have actually taught my supervisor a couple of things aswell. and it was great today because i could see and experience what its like to be under pressure and this has i think made my communication skills better.
This job definatly requires good communication skills as you get some people that you cant quite understand and you have to speak clearly and make sure they understand.
I typed up clients resumes, photocopied clients passports and documents. I was in charge of the phone and messages my favourite part about this job is answering the phones and transfering them through to other staff. when you answer the phone you have to speak clearly and fluent. a couple of times i rushed a couple of the phone calls and they were teaching me to say it fluently and less fast haha. But i think i am doing a good job at answering the phones when they ring i say good afternoon, Kee Monique speaking its a little bit of a mouth full but if you say it properly you will get it haha and when they are after someone and they are not in i have to say sorry they are not in at the moment can i take a message and if they say yes you have to write in the message book and stick the message above your desk. and if the person they are after is in you have to say just one moment please then press the hold button and press the number of the person they are after and say its who ever it is and then they say put them through or something else and then you press the transfer button. I have learnt alot doing work experience here i am so glad that i chose to do it here its been great

today i registered outgoing and incoming mail on to the computer, Wrote up a letter for the CEO, answered the phone and took messages and thats all what i can think of at the moment. Its the last day of my work experience but i think i will come in on the holidays and help out aswell. This experience was really beneficial for me because i wasnt quite sure what career path i wanted to take but now i am leaning more towards Office admin. I learnt a whole range of skills from communication skills to computer skills. i think i did a good job
